What followed eventually brought together two lives from Indonesia and the UK — and, after celebrations in different parts of the world, led them back to the place they call home.
Bali.
Coming Home to Celebrate
For Mega and Will, choosing Bali wasn't really about having a destination wedding.
Bali is home.
It's where they live, where many of their closest friends are, and where they wanted to gather the people who have become part of their life together.
Their wedding at Jeeva Saba was actually their third wedding celebration, following earlier events in the UK and Surabaya.
But this one felt different.
This was the celebration where home, friends, family, and their everyday life in Bali could finally come together in one place.
Why Jeeva Saba
Mega and Will were drawn to Jeeva Saba because it didn't feel like many of the ultra-modern wedding villas they had seen.
They loved its more rustic and natural character — especially the expansive lawn framed by tall palm trees.
There is a certain simplicity to that setting that suited the celebration perfectly.
Rather than trying to overpower Bali with elaborate surroundings, the venue allowed the landscape and atmosphere to remain part of the wedding itself.
For photography, that also gave us plenty of room to move between intimate moments, portraits, and the larger celebration while keeping the visual story relaxed and connected to its surroundings.
One Very Important Little Photoshoot
Among all the moments of their wedding day, one of Mega and Will's favourites wasn't something grand or elaborate.
It was having their dogs there.
After celebrating their marriage in the UK and Surabaya, this was the first of their wedding events where they could finally include them — even if only for a little while.
So, naturally, they had to have their own little photoshoot together.
It's easy to think of wedding photography as being about the ceremony, the dress, the décor, or the portraits.
But often, the photographs that eventually carry the most meaning are much simpler.
They are photographs of the things — and in this case, the furry family members — that are already part of everyday life.
For Mega and Will, having their dogs there made this celebration feel even more like home.
A Celebration That Felt Like Them
After wedding celebrations in the UK and Surabaya, Bali wasn't simply another destination on Mega and Will's wedding journey.
It was the place where they could celebrate surrounded by the life they had built here.
At a villa chosen for its natural character, among the people closest to them, with their dogs briefly joining the celebration, and beneath a sky filled with fireworks.
It felt less like travelling somewhere to have a wedding.
And more like coming home to have one.
Words From the People Closest to Them
As the celebration continued, some of the day's most emotional moments came through the speeches.
Their fathers spoke.
Their bridesmaid and groomsmen spoke.
And for a little while, the wedding became less about everything that had been planned around them and more about the relationships that had helped shape their lives.
These are the moments we always love watching through the camera.
A speech isn't only about the person holding the microphone. It's also about every reaction around the room — the laughter before the punchline has even finished, a parent's expression, a quiet glance between the couple, or a friend trying unsuccessfully not to become emotional.
They are small moments, but together they tell a much bigger story.
And Then, Fireworks
Eventually, it was time for Mega and Will's first dance.
And then the sky lit up.
Fireworks erupted behind them as they danced, turning an already memorable moment into one of the defining scenes of the evening.
It was a fitting contrast to everything that had come before it.
A wedding that felt relaxed, natural, and close to home suddenly ending one of its biggest moments with the sky glowing above Jeeva Saba.
Sometimes the most memorable weddings aren't the ones where every second feels spectacular.
They're the ones where the spectacular moments appear between things that feel deeply familiar.
The dogs.
The friends.
The fathers giving speeches.
The familiar landscape of Bali.
And then, unexpectedly, fireworks.
