From Favourite Chips to Sunset Light

Rachel and Isaac’s half-day Bali pre-wedding was designed around two very different settings.


The first was bright, playful, and personal: a relaxed afternoon inside their villa, surrounded by favourite snacks and details from their life together. The second brought them outdoors to Uluwatu, where an open beach, rolling waves, and the last light of the day created the cinematic atmosphere they had imagined.


Together, the two locations told a more complete story—not only of how beautiful they look together, but of how being together seems to feel.

A Story That Began at University


Rachel and Isaac first met at university, where they happened to stay in the same dorm.


Their story began in an everyday setting, so it felt fitting that the first part of their pre-wedding session also carried the comfort of everyday life. There were no formal outfits or complicated poses. Dressed simply in white, they relaxed together on the floor of their villa and allowed the session to unfold around their natural chemistry.


The bright, minimal interior kept the photographs clean and intimate. Without an elaborate backdrop competing for attention, every laugh, playful expression, and small interaction became part of the story.

Their Favourite Kind of Date


When asked about their favourite moment from the shoot, Rachel and Isaac did not choose the beach or even the sunset.


They chose the indoor session with their favourite chips.


The snacks were more than colourful props. They introduced something familiar into an unfamiliar experience, helping the couple forget about the camera and settle into their own rhythm. Soon, the session felt less like a formal photoshoot and more like a very relaxed date at home.


With Wiwid behind the camera, Rachel and Isaac received just enough direction to feel confident while still having the freedom to tease each other, share bites, and simply be themselves. His easygoing presence helped the session feel less like a formal photoshoot and more like a relaxed afternoon together.


They teased each other, shared bites, and laughed through expressions that could never have been rehearsed perfectly. The photographer provided direction when they needed it, but also gave them enough freedom to be themselves.


That balance made the photographs feel unmistakably theirs.

Little Pieces of Their Life Together


As the villa session continued, more personal and playful details began to appear.


A strawberry cake brought a small celebratory touch to the photographs. Instant prints and childhood portraits added another layer of personality, while a spontaneous pillow fight transformed the quiet bedroom into something joyful and wonderfully chaotic.


These details made the session feel lived-in rather than staged. Each new activity gave Rachel and Isaac something real to respond to, creating photographs filled with movement, surprise, and genuine laughter.


Even the quieter frames—sitting closely together, looking through photographs, or simply sharing the same space—carried the ease of two people who know each other well.

From the Villa to Uluwatu


After the playful energy indoors, Rachel and Isaac changed into a second look and stepped outside.


Rachel wore a simple white dress, while Isaac kept the styling relaxed with white shorts, a T-shirt, and a light overshirt. The neutral colours connected naturally with the first part of the session while feeling light and effortless for the beach.


Before reaching the coastline, they walked through the villa’s tropical pathway framed by tall cacti and greenery. This short sequence became a natural bridge between the intimacy of the indoor photographs and the openness of Uluwatu.


The story was moving outdoors, but their relaxed energy remained the same.

Barefoot on an Uluwatu Beach


Bali was an easy choice for Rachel and Isaac. They loved its beautiful scenery, its warm people, and the fact that their pre-wedding session could become part of a holiday.


Uluwatu’s beaches also matched the aesthetic they wanted. Once they reached the sand, the photographs opened up with the landscape: blue sky, textured cliffs, rolling waves, and the warm light beginning to move lower across the coast.


They walked barefoot along the shoreline, ran towards the camera, shared a few quiet embraces, and occasionally forgot about posing altogether. A soft bouquet added a romantic detail without making the styling feel overly formal.


The photographs remained easy and joyful, but the scale of the beach gave the story a more cinematic dimension.

Chasing Isaac’s Vision of Sunset Light


Isaac had one particular image in mind for Uluwatu: a flare of warm sunlight entering the frame at sunset.


As the sun moved closer to the horizon, the character of the photographs gradually changed. The bright afternoon blues softened into warmer tones. Their outlines became illuminated from behind, while the light reflected across the ocean and wet sand.


The resulting photographs feel quieter and more romantic than the earlier frames. Rachel and Isaac stood close beneath the open sky, danced near the shoreline, and let the setting sun become part of the composition.


It was the cinematic ending Isaac had envisioned—but it still felt natural because the photographs were built around their connection rather than the scenery alone.

Two Sides of the Same Love Story


The villa and the beach could not have looked more different, yet both settings revealed something true about Rachel and Isaac.


Inside their villa, their relationship felt playful, familiar, and delightfully unserious. At Uluwatu, the same connection became softer and more cinematic beneath the setting sun.


One part was filled with chips, cake, old photographs, and a pillow fight. The other was shaped by bare feet, ocean waves, golden light, and the sunset flare Isaac had imagined.


Together, they created a pre-wedding story that felt both beautiful and personal—from the comfort of being completely themselves to the quiet promise of everything still ahead.
